Stocked ItaliaForno ovens ship from the USA for faster delivery. Shipping options and timing may vary based on model availability, delivery address, and whether the destination is commercial or residential.

7. How durable are ItaliaForno ovens?

ItaliaForno ovens are made in Italy using durable materials and traditional oven-making knowledge. Each oven features a refractory cooking floor and outdoor-ready construction designed for long-term performance when installed, used, and maintained properly.

8. What temperature can an ItaliaForno oven reach?

Most ItaliaForno ovens can reach temperatures up to 500°C / 1000°F.

For regular cooking and long-term oven care, we recommend operating no higher than approximately 450°C / 850°F. This temperature range is ideal for authentic pizza, proper crust rise, leopard spotting, high-heat roasting, and searing.

9. How long does it take to heat up?

ItaliaForno gas pizza ovens typically reach cooking temperature in approximately under 30 minutes. Actual heat-up time may vary depending on model, outdoor temperature, fuel setup, and weather conditions.

10. What can I cook in an ItaliaForno oven?

ItaliaForno ovens are versatile high-heat outdoor cooking appliances. You can cook:

Artisan and Neapolitan-style pizza
Bread and focaccia
Roasted meats and seafood
Vegetables
Cast iron dishes
Skillet desserts

11. Are ItaliaForno ovens only for pizza?

No. While ItaliaForno ovens are built for authentic Italian pizza, they can also be used for high-heat roasting, artisan bread baking, vegetables, seafood, meats, and outdoor culinary experiences.

12. How are ItaliaForno ovens different from small portable pizza ovens?

ItaliaForno ovens are designed for customers who want a more premium outdoor kitchen experience. Compared with many small portable pizza ovens, ItaliaForno focuses on Italian manufacturing, outdoor design, larger model options, high-heat cooking performance, and long-term outdoor use.

ItaliaForno ovens are Made in Italy by a manufacturer with decades of pizza oven experience, which helps separate the brand from many small portable or low-cost imported pizza ovens.

13. Where should my pizza oven be placed?

Install your ItaliaForno oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface or non-combustible base. Always allow proper clearance from walls, ceilings, and combustible materials. A compatible cart may be available for mobility and convenience.

Always follow the owner’s manual and local safety requirements.

14. Can an ItaliaForno oven be installed indoors?

Some models may be suitable for indoor installation only with proper ventilation and full compliance with local building and fire codes. Always consult a licensed professional before installing any pizza oven indoors.

15. Do I need a chimney or flue?

Yes. ItaliaForno ovens are supplied with a chimney system designed for proper exhaust and airflow. Always install the chimney according to the owner’s manual and local building codes.

16. Why does the oven smell during first use?

A light odor during the first firing is normal. This can happen as protective coatings cure and internal materials settle under high heat. The smell should dissipate after the initial use.

17. How do I ignite an ItaliaForno gas oven?

Lighting your ItaliaForno gas oven is simple and usually takes about 15 seconds.

Open your propane tank valve fully.
Turn the control knob to the ignition position.
Press the knob inward firmly to release gas.
While holding the knob in, activate the ignition spark.
Once the flame appears, continue holding the knob in for approximately 15 seconds.
Release the knob slowly. The flame should remain lit.
Allow the oven to preheat before cooking.

18. Why do I need to hold the knob down during ignition?

ItaliaForno ovens are equipped with a thermocouple flame safety system. This safety device helps ensure gas only flows when a stable flame is detected.

The thermocouple must heat up before the oven remains lit on its own, which is why holding the knob for about 15 seconds is required. If the flame is ever extinguished by wind or interruption, the system helps shut off the gas supply.

19. What if the oven takes longer to ignite?

It is normal for ignition to take slightly longer when the oven has not been used for a while, first use, after replacing or reconnecting a propane tank, when air is present in the gas line, or in colder outdoor temperatures.

In these cases, you may need to hold the knob down slightly longer or repeat the process once to allow gas to fully reach the burner.

20. What cookware is safe to use inside the oven?

Use high-heat-resistant cookware such as cast iron, stainless steel, terracotta, oven-safe ceramic, and other cookware rated for high-temperature oven use.

21. What should the gas flame look like?

A proper flame should be mostly blue with minimal yellow. This usually indicates efficient combustion and proper gas flow.

22. What accessories are included?

ItaliaForno ovens typically include the oven body, refractory cooking floor, chimney components, oven door, and thermometer. Included accessories may vary by model, so always check the product page before ordering.

23. Does the oven require regular maintenance?

ItaliaForno gas pizza ovens require minimal maintenance. Brush out the cooking floor after each use, keep the oven covered when not in use, and always turn off the gas supply completely after cooking.

Regular covering helps protect the exterior from weather exposure, while routine brushing helps maintain proper heat performance and cooking consistency.

24. How often should I clean the cooking floor?

Brush away food debris after each use. Perform deeper cleaning as needed once the oven is completely cool.

25. How do I clean the chimney?

Make sure the oven is completely cool. Remove the chimney cap and brush the interior to clear soot, dust, or debris. Wipe clean and reassemble securely.

Gas ovens do not produce creosote like wood-fired ovens, but periodic inspection every few months helps maintain airflow and efficient combustion.

26. How do I order spare parts?

Contact the ItaliaForno support team through info@italiaforno.com and provide your oven model, proof of purchase if available, and the part you need.

27. Is my ItaliaForno oven covered by warranty?

Yes. Domestic ItaliaForno pizza ovens include a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty protects against manufacturing and material defects when the oven is installed, operated, and maintained according to official ItaliaForno guidelines. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.

Warranty claims may be submitted to info@italiaforno.com for review.

28. What does the 2-year warranty cover?

The ItaliaForno 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, material defects, and structural components under normal residential use.

If a defect is confirmed during the warranty period, ItaliaForno may repair or replace the affected component at its discretion.

29. What is not covered under warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper operation, unauthorized modification, improper installation, environmental damage, neglect, lack of maintenance, or use outside the oven’s intended design.

The warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes from heat exposure, consumable components, or damage caused by using unapproved fuel types.

Gas-only ovens must only be used with approved gas fuel sources. Burning wood, charcoal, pellets, or other solid fuel in gas-only models may void the warranty.

30. Can I modify or convert my oven?

Do not modify, alter, or convert your ItaliaForno oven unless the modification is specifically approved for your model. Changing fuel types, adding unapproved components, or using the oven outside its intended design may create safety risks and may void the warranty.

31. Who should I contact with questions?

For product questions, safe operation, approved fuel types, warranty eligibility, or replacement parts, contact the ItaliaForno support team before making changes to your oven.
